Europe's Medieval period lasted from your 5th to the 15th century. Do your best, torture was often used to extract confessions, or receive the names of accomplices or other information about crimes. Laws and native customs did not impose limits about the treatment of prisoners or perhaps the extent to which torture could possibly be inflicted.
